It’s been a season shaped by reflection—one that asked me to slow down, to observe more closely, and to live in my own home with greater awareness. During that time, I began to notice how spaces carry us through transition, and how the smallest details can ground us when everything else feels in motion.

I was moving through a new chapter of life—one marked by change, reflection, and a deeper understanding of what truly matters. As I moved through this season, I encountered countless women doing the same. Each of us navigating our own shifts—some beautiful, some painful, some quietly redefining everything we thought we knew. Yet no matter how different our journeys looked, there was one constant.

At the end of every day, we all had to go back home.

That truth stayed with me.

As I write this, I’m quietly preparing to share a new Makena Decor collection—one shaped during this same season of intention and reflection. Not rushed. Not created for noise. But built thoughtfully, during a time when my attention was needed closer to home.
